About Manchester Precision Engineering
For over 50 years, MPE has produced models, mould tools, assembly jigs & holding fixtures for the aerospace, automotive & nuclear industries. Following significant recent investment, MPE is expanding its precision machining & manufacturing expertise to offer full supply, including fabrication within the oil & gas, renewable energy and general engineering industries. The company has seen its business change from traditional wood, metal & plastic pattern making through to all types of plastic forming & dies and into the high technology tooling of today. The company possesses the capability from initial concept & design, through manufacture and inspection, to final installation. With our on-site CAD/CAM operators and time served toolmakers, machinists and CMM inspectors, MPE is able to ensure that even the most complex, bespoke projects are completed on time and 'right first time', whether designed within MPE, or made to print. Our 60,000 square feet of modern factory space, houses 3, 5 & 7 axis machines with envelopes of up to 12m x 4m x 1.8m, with cranes capable of 16 & 20 tons lifts. Not only can we verify all our products with CMM inspection, we also have the ability to scan & measure dimensions over larger distances using laser tracker devices. This can be carried out on-site at MPE or at the customers' required location. To ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry we are constantly investing in new machinery and technologies. As a consequence of this we currently have one of the largest machining capacities in the country for our industry sectors.
