About Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center
Founded in May of 2004 by Cincinnati area professors and students, Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization headquartered in the urban neighborhoods of East Walnut Hills and Clifton in Cincinnati, Ohio. The street level exhibition space is minutes away from downtown Cincinnati, and the numerous academic institutions of higher learning in the region. It is also centrally located within a diversely populated historic neighborhood. The galleries are free and open to the public at least 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, presenting works by students and professionals from around the world. The Manifest Drawing Center studio is located in Manifest new permanent home in the historic urban community of Clifton on Central Parkway. The Drawing Center offers a wide array of open, instructed, and co-learning opportunities centered on the disciplines of drawing, painting, film photography, and printmaking for artists of all levels, as well as independent college level visiting artist workshops and public demos throughout the year. Manifest is supported by grants and public donations and has the goal to support student professionalism, integrate the arts into the urban community and raise the bar on artistic standards. Mission: Manifest stands for the quality presentation, experience, and documentation of the visual arts, engaging students, professionals, and the public from around the world through accessible world-class exhibits, studio programs, and publications. MANIFEST'S four areas of programming: GALLERY (exhibition), DRAWING CENTER (education), PRESS (documentation), ARTIST RESIDENCY (support).
