At Manitou Candle Co., we make small batch candles with a contemporary perspective — combining incredible scents with 100% American-made soy wax and lead-free cotton wicks for an eco-friendly, clean burn. We use premium fragrances infused with essential oils and our candles are 100% vegan, cruelty, petroleum and phthalate free. Our mid-century shop in the Old Bank building on Eastern Avenue is located in the oldest neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio — Columbia Tusculum. We offer candle making classes where you can gather to share experiences while spending quality time making your own custom creations. Our chandlers will teach you the ins and outs of candle making. They will guide you through fragrance exploration and then lead you through each step of the candle pouring process. Whether you’re reconnecting with friends, enjoying a date night out or searching for the perfect birthday gift, Manitou is the place for you! We thrive on community, offering a space where people can create, inspire and gather around the flame. In our retail shop, you will find carefully curated goods that are inspired by many of our favorite scents, as well as Northern Michigan - the location of our namesake. Each product that we carry is mindfully selected.
