MANUP! Water Polo is an exciting new event series bringing the fantastic sport of water polo from the confines of indoor swimming pools out into glorious open air locations . Following the success of 2018’s inaugural event at Media City Salford Quays, our 2019 Summer season kicks off with a mixed Junior edition from the heart of Cheshire – Nantwich outdoor pool is one of the few remaining inland brine pools in the UK and is a popular destination for swimmers in the summer season. We’ll be taking it over on Saturday 18th May for a non-stop day of Junior water polo, with music, outdoor BBQ and fun. Liverpool’s historic Albert Dock is the stage for our second event and another incredible outdoor water polo location. With easy access to Albert Docks shops, restaurants, bars, hotels and tourist attractions its a fantastic waterfront setting to come and experience open air water polo on Saturday 22nd June. After the success of last year, how could we not return to Dock 9 Media City, Salford Quays! We’ll be finishing the season with a senior men and women’s competition on Saturday 3rd August at the place where it all started, and we can’t wait. Great spectator facilities, beautiful water and a fantastic, vibrant destination – an awesome event to round of our Summer 2019 season. We’ll be picking up the pace running all day side by side matches using compact pitches for faster games, rapid action, thrills and flair and challenging teams from around the country to get out of their comfort zones, for what will be a unique series of summer water polo events.
