Marche Egypt is one of the leading companies in the e-commerce industry in the Middle East, despite being relatively new to the market. The name “Marche” is derived from the French language, and was combined with the country of establishment to create the company name: Marche Egypt. What makes Marche Egypt unique is that it represents the third major venture of its founder, who brings over nine years of experience in the e-commerce field — a significant duration considering that the industry itself is only about 20 years old in the Middle East. Out of those 20 years, the company has accumulated over 13 years of market-relevant experience. Founded in October 2019 as a private company by Ahmed Agha, the founder and current Chairman of the Board, Marche has continued to grow steadily. In 2020, the company focused on selling Islamic electronics and Islamic-related products, establishing a strong niche presence. By 2021, Marche expanded into personal care electronics and began entering the global market, shifting from purely local operations to importing internationally. In 2022, the company made a significant leap into the fashion and apparel industry. What began as selling ready-made garments evolved into full-scale manufacturing and producing custom fabrics under the Marche brand.
