She spotted a heart shape in a shell and carved it into a pendant, which led her on a four-year quest for better tools and techniques. Marcia soon discovered that she was reviving the ancient art of Wampum, dating back centuries. Today, through WildaboutWampum, she creates unique, handcrafted jewelry. Using rare purple sections of Quahog shells from the Atlantic Ocean and the vivid pink hues of Queen Conch shells from tropical regions, Marcia meticulously grinds, carves, and sands each piece. Many of her creations are accented with hand-crafted sterling silver, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
