About Marcostrat
I founded Marcostrat to give growing businesses the kind of marketing strategy, content, and execution I developed while working at some of the world’s biggest brands, including Amazon, Expedia, and Microsoft. In addition to these roles, I’ve worked as a freelancer and for a couple of agencies, giving me a deep understanding of B2B, B2C, agency, and business owner perspectives. I know what it takes to craft marketing that resonates, no matter the audience or context. My journey started by teaching middle school. That experience taught me how to engage people, keep attention, and adapt messages for different learning styles. From there, I earned my Ph.D. in the social sciences from the University of Washington, sharpening my research and data analysis skills. While teaching undergraduates, I honed my teaching skills and was reminded every day of the power of knowing your audience — a lesson that has shaped every campaign I’ve led since. At Amazon, I led launches, developed content programs, built sales enablement programs, and executed go-to-market product launches for B2B and B2C brands. At Expedia, I created content that inspired travelers and delivered measurable results. At Microsoft, I contributed to cross-functional initiatives that demanded both strategic vision and precise execution. Across every role, I learned how to combine data-driven strategy with compelling storytelling to move people to action. Now, I bring that expertise to smaller and midsized businesses.
