Marcus Charles is a retired member of the Texas Army National Guard and has served his country for over 17 years. Marcus’ journey with real estate, renovations, property management, and investments began in 2009 with the purchase of his first residential property in Calumet City, Illinois, which is now leased as 3 separate units. In 2016, he moved to Texas to continue his military career and pursue his dreams of owning more real estate. April 2017, he purchased his first property in Aubrey, Texas and subsequently created Marcus Charles Investments Group (MCIG). After successfully converting that property into a profitable Airbnb, he acquired another property in Los Angeles, a beautiful condo close to the Staples Center and other popular attractions. Currently, MCIG to six properties, two in Aubrey, one in Calumet City, one in Los Angeles, one in Deep Ellum and most recently, The Shops of Legacy in Plano. As the father of one son, Marcus recognizes the importance of building a legacy for his son’s future and focuses his efforts on Innovation, Creativity and Investing. His vision includes owning 100 properties across the United States and diversifying his portfolio through vacation homes, rental properties, home renovations and commercial real estate. Specializing in property management, real estate, and investments, MCIG also offers consulting services for those interested in owning and managing their own Airbnbs and properties.
