Margreeth Olsthoorn studied fashion at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam and graduated in 1993. she decided not to work on a collection of her own twice a year, but instead choose to use her talent, in a different way: she started to work as a curator in fashion, art, design and put it all together at one place, in a shop. MARGREETH OLSTHOORN as a brand was born, and her shop became of great importance for the city of Rotterdam. MARGREETH OLSTHOORN sells high-end fashion brands for woman and men chosen with love and integrity by Margreeth herself. From 2005, for 7 years, the men and women we’re divided in 2 separate shops, both located at the Witte de Withstraat in the art-center of Rotterdam. Then in 2012 the store moved to a bigger space where men and the women's wear came together in a beautiful elegant open space at the corner of Schilderstraat and Schiedamseweg. Almost 8 years she occupied this space and celebrated lots of events and art vernissages. In 2014 she invited NL=US galery by Clemente Brakel to move in as a permanent art space. In 2019 Margreeth decided it was time to move out and move on. As the city changes, she felt she need to change too and as from the first day of 2020 she "resides" at the head of South. The new space is located in an old monumental warehouse, known as Pakhuis Meesteren, at the Wilhelminakade 54 in Rotterdam, a very vibrant place where the magic will open up new possibilities, new combinations like art-exhibitions, fashion-presentations and other platforms, but also pop-up stores and shop-in-shop are within reach, however fashion in making people beautiful is her prime passion. MARGREETH OLSTHOORN stands for high-end fashion, avant-garde and conceptual design, but also identifies herself with new and classical, young and established, rough or refined, all within high quality standards. This added with her own taste, experience, knowledge, vision, an experienced staff next to her and a lot of personal attention.
