About Marina Dickson Practice Connections

I have been working in the child, youth and families sector for over 30 years and bring significant experience to practical explorations of how to best meet the needs of those we support. I bring the frameworks from the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training (Grad Dip VET) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) to my services. Marina Dickson Practice Connections focuses on connecting knowledge to practice using a relational approach. I am so pleased to be able to offer: 1. Practical and engaging training programs for a range of staff teams and for foster and kinship carers. Topics include trauma informed practices, staff wellbeing, building quality training facilitation skills and exploring loss and grief through the lifespan. 2. Resource development - focusing on developing those documents, tools, resources, policies or training programs that teams have had on their 'to do' list and that will enhance outcomes for teams and children, young people and families. 3. Practice framework development - providing a collaborative approach to identifying and documenting program's and organisation's unique ways of working. This includes completing Training Needs Analyses. 4. Reflective practice, group supervision and group coaching programs - supporting teams to learn from and build on their knowledge, skills and capabilities in a way that enhances work satisfaction and positive outcomes for those we support.
