About Marion

Soon afterwards, area partnerships both personal and business were forged to target and court companies that would appreciate Marion's unique and special place within the state of Ohio. Marketing and development plans were prepared and refined, and thoughtful outreach programs were engaged. All of this in an effort to provide economic development resources for the available commercial properties in the area. Then in 1997, CANDO! acquired approximately 450 acres of industrial land northwest of Marion known as the Dual Rail Industrial Park. Today it is home to ArcelorMittal, Marion Industries, Sakamura and U.S. Yachiyo. With 200 acres of available sites, CANDO! continues to market and develop the park. Today, CANDO! is a 501c(3) corporation located in downtown Marion with a mission to provide a stable economy for the region and is looking for companies with vision to share in Marion's long term plan for success. Mission: Our mission is to secure Marion County’s economic future through the facilitation of job creation, improving the local tax base, and bringing government and industry together in positive economic development.
