About Mariposa County Fire Safe Council

A grassroots, nonprofit organization outside of Yosemite National Park, since 1998 we have worked to reduce wildfire hazards by acquiring and administering fire-prevention grants throughout California's scenic Mariposa County. We look to directly aid our senior citizens, veterans, and limited income residents in maintaining their defensible spaces in anticipation of fire season. To every resident, we extend a hand in educating about fire safety all while providing free hazardous fuels mitigation services on a grant by grant basis.
