Maritime Consultancy Amsterdam was founded by Ed Stuifzand and Marko Habiecht January 2016 after long careers at sea on various breakbulk and heavy lift ships. Focus of the company is to maximise intake and safe transport of all cargoes to be shipped over sea by means of cargo vessels or barges (all types). Ed Stuifzand started his seagoing career with coastal shipping company Wijnne and Barends in 1991 and has been captain on various types of breakbulk and heavy lift ships since 1997. Marko Habiecht has started his seagoing career in 1991 with Spliethoff and has been Captain since 1998 on various types of breakbulk and heavy lift ships till 2007. Since then he has been working as cargo superintendent and warranty surveyor on various projects including semi submersible vessels and project cargoes.
