Mark Albert Boots is an independent footwear label based in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Our partner factory and its 54 employees have been handcrafting boots and shoes using the same process since 1948. We pride ourselves in using the highest quality materials and construction methods to produce comfortable, timeless and long-lasting footwear. Our founder, Mark Albert Barbera, is the great-grandson of an Italian master shoemaker and immigrant. Joseph Barbera owned a cobbler shop in Somerset starting in 1936. Coming full circle, Joseph served as an advisor on shoemaking techniques to the same factory that produces all Mark Albert boots and shoes today. The Mark Albert journey began with a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign launched in August 2016. You can now find Mark Albert Boots online and in stores across the United States.
