Marques de Griñon Estates is a family owned company with a solid historical tradition that has an uncompromising long-term perspective. Dominio de Valdepusa, has been in the family since 1292 and our values which have been passed from generation to generation have always been based on sustainability, culture and tradition. As a winery we have a marked and pioneering spirit. We have always questioned the status quo and have therefore always innovated. Our viticultural techniques are cutting-edge and we strive for excellence in everything that we do. Our objective is to create world-class Single-Estate wines and Extra Virgin Olive Oil that have a differentiated personality and that give maximum gastronomic pleasure. Under the direction of our winemaker Julio Mourelle, graduated in viticulture and oenology at University of California (Davis), we prepare our wines in two single-estates with very different soils profiless. We uphold a culture and preparation philosophy based on sustainability and respect for our natural and architectural environment, it is likewisebased on innovation and the use of advanced technologies, i.e. a synthesis of progress and tradition. Intervening in this process are: our technical director Julio Mourelle and consultants Michel Rolland (oenology), Richard Smart (canopy management), and Claude Bourguignon (terroir management). Our wines and extra virgin olive oil are currently sold at leading stores and restaurants in over 40 countries.
