La arquitectura de la bodega ha sido concebida para albergar un sistema de elaboración innovador y vanguardista en La Rioja y uno de los más avanzados del mundo. Así, el 80% de su superficie está enterrada en un cerro en la parte alta de la villa para aprovechar al máximo la gravedad en la recepción y transporte de la uva, utilizando como fuente de energía la geotermia. Marqués de Terán Bodegas is located on a hill in the upper part of Ollauri (La Rioja Alta), an authentic land of wine due to its privileged soil and climate conditions, with views of the Ebro Valley and the Sierra de Cantabria, the Sierra de La Demanda and the town of Ollauri and its vineyards. The architecture of the winery has been conceived to house an innovative and avant-garde production system in La Rioja and one of the most advanced in the world. Thus, 80% of its surface is buried in a hill in the upper part of the town to make the most of gravity in the reception and transport of the grapes, using geothermal energy as a source.
