About Marsh Institute for Chaplains
The Marsh Institute for Chaplains, as a 501(c)(3) religious non-profit, works to collaborate, equip, support, and advocate for chaplains serving in diverse and global settings. By partnering with chaplains, educational institutions, professional organizations, and religious faith groups, the Marsh Institute will (1) collaborate with domestic and international partners to enhance the effectiveness of chaplains, (2) develop and support curricular materials designed explicitly for chaplains, (3) research and advise concerning issues related to chaplain ministry, and (4) advocate publicly for chaplain ministry. It continues the legacy of Dr. Gerald E. Marsh, a lifelong seminary professor and a USAF Reserve Major General chaplain. The Marsh Center’s logo, a hurricane lamp, reflects the sacred ministry of chaplains carrying the light of the Holy into stormy and dark places.
