Through more strategic acquisitions, Hurley cemented its foothold in the Ontario market with the merger of Martin Building Maintenance in 1992. Since then, MBM has evolved into an industry leader in commercial property maintenance, educational facilities and manufacturing facilities services in the growing southwestern Ontario market strategically located between the Greater Toronto Area and the Detroit-Windsor border home to North America’s key automotive market. For the past 10 years, Martin Building Maintenance has seized opportunities to expand its services to its manufacturing clients. From landscaping and mould removal to fleet maintenance and general repairs, Martin has provided additional services and managed subcontractors now offering fully integrated services. By building on existing customer relationships, Martin Facility Services, an integrated service provider responsible for managing the vendor services & supply chain, was created in 2005. “This model provides a solid foundation for the next evolution of the Hurley Group,” said Greg Martin, president of Martin Services. “By building on our core competencies and our knowledge of the client’s competitive environment and the supply chain network specific to facility support, we’ve created more ties to our customer’s ship and firmly secured lasting partnerships for the future.” Martin said the benefit of having all the services provided by the companies is the main drawing point for its customers. “With many of our clients downsizing and wearing multiple hats, having a single trusted service provider manage the entire range of facility services makes sense,” he said. “One monthly invoice, one key contact, and after hours emergency dispatch are just a few of the benefits.”
