WHY IS RESEARCH DIFFERENT AT MARY CROWLEY? *Mary Crowley specializes in a PERSONALIZED approach and operates within a narrow niche of the cancer research community. *Highly trained staff conduct Phase I and Phase II clinical trial testing for cancer patients, matching trials to molecular information found in each patient. *Physician investigators are exceptionally qualified to add to the growing understanding of what drives cancer and create innovative research applications that attack these drivers. * The "patient centric" focus brings the newest clinical trial options to patients at a rapid pace. WHEN CAN RESEARCH IMPACT A CANCER PATIENT? Any time after initial diagnosis, an investigational agent may be evaluated and possibly used in conjunction with standard treatment. For individuals who have failed all standard cancer treatments, a clinical trial offers access to the latest targeted therapies under investigation, with the goal of providing HOPE for extended survival. Patients who enroll on promising clinical trials may have access to therapies years prior to their approval by the FDA. HOW ARE DONATED FUNDS USED AT MARY CROWLEY? 100% of all funds donated to Mary Crowley go directly to patients in need of clinical trials. Donors may direct gifts to the general fund, research for a specific type of cancer, or to Mary Crowley's Benevolence Program, which provides financial assistance to patients who have demonstrated need.
