About Mary's Dogs - Rescue and Adoption
Mary's Dogs rescues approximately 600 dogs annually from kill shelters in the South and rehomes dogs in New England. Mary's Dogs nurtures the network of volunteers and foster and forever pet parents. Mary's Dogs serves as a resource to communities in Southern New Hampshire and pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter positive behavior training, and good nutrition. Mary Doane started Mary's Dogs Rescue and Adoption in February 2011 out of her passion to save animals and to foster the human/animal bond. Many dogs and many families and everyone in the Mary's Dogs organization are forever grateful to Mary for her creative energy, devotion and vision and to John for his organization and support of the Mary's Dogs rescue team. Mary and John enjoy time with their children and grandchildren. Mary continues her work as a nature educator with Project Nature. We became a nonprofit organization in 2016.
