About Maryflower Limited

Maryflower is a boutique nursery situated in Kelson, Lower Hutt owned and operated by Annemarie van der Slot – Verhoeven. Being born in the Netherlands, flowers and plants are in Annemarie's DNA. As a young girl she loved spending hours and hours in the garden where she learned a lot from her grandmother who was a real gardener. Gardening has always been Annemarie's hobby beside a busy working life. With Maryflower being a serious business gardening makes up a bigger part of her life. According to Annemarie: "Gardening is my passion. I love sharing that with everyone who crosses my path. Building several gardens from the scratch in The Netherlands and in New Zealand and professional horticulture training at Agribusiness NZ gave me lots of experience how to grow up plants." The Maryflower team's passion and experience in gardening and growing plants have resulted in the production of healthy and high quality plants. They are grown in two locations in the area both which are in the windiest spots of Wellington. The Maryflower plants are, as a result, very well adapted to the Wellington climate. We stock a diverse set of plants ranging from native shrubs, hebes, ground covers, flaxes, grasses and perennials which belong in a more English style cottage garden.
