About Maryland Mentoring Partnership

The Maryland Mentoring Partnership (MMP) is an advocate, clearinghouse and expert resource for the advancement of youth mentoring statewide. Since the organization’s roots were planted in 1988 (as RAISE, Inc), MMP has emerged as a leader in the mentoring movement and has worked to make mentoring an integral part of Maryland’s social fabric. MMP strategically recruits partnering institutions and individuals from all sectors; offers customized training for building effective programs; and provides a rallying point for providers. MMP is linked to MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership with a network of 38 state and local mentoring partnerships. This supportive relationship bolsters our work with access to national research, advocacy, replicable models and technical assistance. MMP is a non profit 501 (C) (3) organization registered in the state of Maryland. Mission: To develop and support high-quality, sustainable youth mentoring programs in Maryland. Vision: Through mentoring, all youth in Maryland will be able to reach their fullest potential.
