About Mashmaut Center

Driven by the vision that Jewish and Israeli awareness and identity deserves to be strengthened, the Mashmaut center began in 1994 in collaboration with the Municipality of Kiryat Motzkin and the Haifa District of the Ministry of Education. The Mashmaut center places great emphasis on humanistic studies in general and Jewish Studies in particular. The educational programs incorporate values relating to our existence as a Jewish nation in Israel and all over the world, and deal with issues relevant to the Jewish people in light of our past, present, and future. All programs place a great emphasis on dealing with moral and human values, as well as individual and national responsibility. For students, the Mashmaut Center hosts study days, workshops, and school programs. For teachers it hosts seminars, study days, and a professional library. As well as the educational programs, the Mashmaut Center works closely with Holocaust survivors in order to convey Holocaust and rebirth consciousness in all its various significances. Activities include Holocaust remembrance day ceremonies and opportunities for survivors to share their stories with students, new immigrants, soldiers, and many others. The Mashmaut Center strives to strengthen Jewish and Israeli cultural awareness and identity. Culture cannot flourish without a vision.
