About Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, (MSOG)

The Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Inc. (MSOG) was founded in 1975 and today is a 501 (c)(3), not for profit organization which aims to bring together individuals who have an interest in genealogy, by meeting on a regular basis with others. We pride ourselves in offering collaboration, preservation and educational opportunities via our four chapters across the Commonwealth with meetings in the following counties: Bristol, Merrimack Valley, Worcester and Middlesex. Over its tenure, MSOG has developed and holds resources of value to genealogists, including our journal, MASSOG. We consistently share knowledge about the new developments and opportunities in the field of genealogy including new technologies and methods to use in researching. MSOG is open to ALL. Beginner to Professional Genealogists will find value in joining our organization. In addition to our Chapter meetings across the Commonwealth and our MASSOG journal, MSOG offers a biannual writing contest, a monthly webinar series in addition to an amazing annual gathering in the fall of each year.
