Massey Emergency Management is the world leader for emergency preparedness in commercial estate. For 35 years is has created the industry standard Massey Plan for office and residential buildings of all sizes, including many of the country's most iconic buildings. It is a building management and first responder friendly overview of critical infrastructure, information essential to a rapid, information response in a crisis. In 2012 The Massey App was launched, a mobile version of the preplan available on iOS or Android devices. Along with rapid availability of detailed text and schematics, The app provides action advice for more than 130 emergency events, linked directly to relevant building schematics and text. Fires, water events, entrapments, explosion, medical incidents and threats including active shooter incident, bomb or phone threats, suspicious packages and more are all covered. Available even if power, connectivity or both are lost. Targeted building notification also available. In 2016 most of the largest fire and police (spec. ops/SWAT) services in the U.S. embraced The Massey App. Once deployed that provided immediate access 24/7 to Massey Plans through The Massey App for incident commanders on department tablets. As one CRE engineer leader stated "the new app and technology breakthroughs are real game-changers for sure." Massey and its team of first responder leaders has more than 400 years of field experience, contributing to the depth of programs and action advice for crisis response. Massey's team also works with many of the largest cities annually on training drills applying the latest standard operating procedures, as well as running seminars annually at major firefighter training conferences. Massey latest programs includes the 6-course/quiz Tenant Training Portal and the Virtual Evacuation Drill, supporting our clients to ensure building occupants are prepared for emergencies of all types, while training safely online.
