About Matec Group

MATEC®, was founded at the end of 70’s, in the City of Milan, Italy. The initial idea was to propose “FLEXIBLE SOLUTIONS”. In the very beginning, Matec was counting a staff of few people and a small production site, while today, Matec is well positioned on a land of approx 15,000 sqm with warehouses, workshops, welding and production lines in Peschiera Borromeo, close to the city of Milan, besides the Linate Airport and the main Milan ring road and the main motorways. The company moved to Peschiera Borromeo in 1980. Early technical and marketing innovations began to produce successes and, in 1985, the company moved to a larger building in the same city and started the production of Flexible composite hoses. The Italian’s first flexible composite hose, was developed in the early 1990’s, with the brand of COMPOTEC. A second major milestone occurred in 1995 when the company decided to acquire an historical firm, very well known in the field of flexible metallic hoses, and quick connect fittings, the company ENCO® located in Buccinasco, south of Milan, an innovative step towards diversification. In the 2000’s, Matec Group continued to develop an array of innovative products, including the first Food grade Composite hose with FDA approval and a series of Fire Proof Composite hoses. In 2000, Matec Group finalized the acquisition of another historical company well known and established in the field of Mandrel built Rubber hoses, the company FARIVO® and the sales topped with innovative new products contributing significantly to growth. In 2010, Matec Group acquired one of the oldest and best known Italian companies specialized in the production of Expansion Joints, know with the brand TOPFLEX®. This latest acquisition is now completing the synergy of the global offer that MATEC® Group is offering in the field of Flexibles.
