About MATENA innovate! Zentrum

Our goal: to speed up the application of research – for eco-friendly technologies and a resource-saving future. The MATENA innovate! Center is an affiliated institute of the University of Bremen. We bring together researchers from the materials sciences with experts from transfer and innovation management. Together we are pushing forward the patenting and founding of start-ups. MATENA stands for Materials – Technologies – Sustainability. We develop eco-friendly technologies for a resource-saving future. To do this, we speed up the transfer of innovative research into technological applications in selected pilot projects. The „JHS innovate! Zentrum MaTeNa gGmbH“ was founded in December 2024 as an affiliated institute of the University of Bremen. The Joachim Herz Foundation is funding the development of the MATENA innovate! Center with up to 30 million euros over a maximum of 10 years. The successful application for funding was submitted by @MAPEX University of Bremen. 👉 More information?
