It is an industry-led approach to an industry problem that helps workers on the ground and in their workplaces, to seek help. We lose a construction worker to suicide every second day. We also know that construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. Through its award winning awareness raising program MATES in Construction is working towards halving the number of construction workers lost to suicide over the next 10 years.
