Matheus Engineering is a start-up by former Pfizer scientists (Sandwich, UK) offering contract research services in the field of chemical process engineering. The founders worked as process engineers within Sandwich laboratories for close to 20 years and were involved in the development and scale-up of numerous projects including multiple products currently in the market. We are located in the same labs (Discovery Park, Sandwich, UK) and fully equipped to offer the best-in-industry scientific standards we are used to. Our expertise lies in all aspects of scale-up – whether it’s de-risking a process being developed in the lab or trouble shooting an existing process in manufacturing phase. We work with you closely to identify process characteristics that can vary across scale. We have extensive experience in defining and executing strategy in terms of scale-up de-risking, equipment / technology selection and drafting scale independence statements for registration dossiers. Our Approach We strongly believe that robust manufacturing processes naturally evolve when appropriate kinetic (physical organic chemistry) and chemical engineering approaches are incorporated in early phases of process development.
