Matisse provides strategic, commercial and creative advice to television production companies. Our mission is to help indies thrive, particularly those in the Nations and Regions. We’re very experienced. We know what we’re doing. And we’re friendly, helpful and reassuring. Many TV production businesses are brilliant in lots of ways but could be just that little bit better in some ways. And that little bit better can make a big difference, reputationally and financially. We know. We’ve been there. Nick Curwin has launched, grown and sold two exceptional indies – Dragonfly and The Garden. They’ve had 7 BAFTA nominations between them and 2 wins. The Garden was also twice voted the UK’s best indie. “I’ve always been as passionate about building fantastic production companies as I have about any one show,” says Nick. “Now I want to help make lots of companies fantastic.” Working with him at Matisse are Scarlett Ewens, formerly The Garden’s Managing Director, and Edwina Silver, formerly Dragonfly’s Head of Specialist Factual. We launched in April 2019. Our focus is on the Nations and Regions, with the occasional London exception. And our mission is to be on your side, to help you do even better.
