About Matlhogonolo Community Outreach Centre NPO 192 - 939
Matlhogonolo was established due to a vast plethora of reasons. Being driven by the physical condition of township schools, lack of extra mural activities and mainly skills development and talent identification facilities in township schools and the community at large, the organisation saw a need to offer these services for the community. We strive to alleviate poverty through a number of ways that include offering after-school classes, running mentorship sessions and teaching learners to use computers, ways to seek information and communicate using technology and also exposing the latter to extra-mural activities. We engage in these programmes as a way of empowering our beneficiaries with skills and knowledge so that they can capacitate themselves and also easily adapt to the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). We also offer support programmes related to health and hygiene services to the elderly and we do this by collecting medication for the latter as a way of bridging poor service delivery in disadvantaged communities of Diepkloof Soweto.
