Matthew Zarrillo was known for his contagious personality, charming sense of humor, and big heart. He touched the lives of many as he grew into a remarkable 10-year-old boy. And despite his daily battles with autism and epilepsy, Matthew always found a way to smile. The world lost Matthew far too early on March 23, 2015. Through the pain and sadness, Mike and Adrienne Zarrillo soon realized they were given a special purpose. With Matthew as their inspiration, they set out to cherish his memory by giving back and helping others. Through Matthew's Helping Hands, they are blessed to share Matthew's love with other children facing similar challenges and special needs. Matthew's Helping Hands was established in September 2015 to make a positive impact in the lives of children with autism and related special needs. Today, they do this by organizing and hosting monthly social and recreational events for children, families and caregivers - where individual uniqueness is celebrated and smiles are the biggest reward.
