About Maureen "Little Mo" Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation
The MCB Tennis Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which furthers the development of junior tennis. Founded in 1968 by Maureen "Little Mo" Connolly and Nancy Jeffett, the foundation continues to this day under the leadership of Cindy Brinker Simmons (President and Maureen's daughter), Brenda Brinker Bottom (Vice President and Maureen's daughter), Elizabeth Jeffett (Vice President and Nancy's daughter), Carol Weyman (Executive Vice President), and a capable advisory board. Maureen was the first woman to win the Grand Slam in 1953 at 18 years of age and is still the only American woman and the youngest player to have accomplished this magnificent feat. The foundation organizes the "Road to the Little Mo Nationals" - a year-long circuit of sectional, regional, national junior tennis tournaments primarily for high performance players ages 7-11 who live in the USA. Also, the "Little Mo" Internationals in California (July), New York (August), and Florida (December) for players ages 8-12 from the USA and worldwide. To view the sites and locations of the "Little Mo" tournaments or register for a tournament and/or camp, please visit: www.mcbtennis.org and click on Tournaments. The "Little Mo" Grand Slam will also be played in 2014. If a player wins each 'Little Mo" International tournament, they will win The "Little Mo" Grand Slam and take home the tallest trophy ever given in junior tennis - 6' tall. The "Little Mo" Grand Slam is open to any player age 8-12 playing with the yellow ball. Play "Mo" Tennis!
