What is Mavin? MAVIN n. Someone who is dazzingly skilled in any field, variant of maven, synonym with expert, champion, whiz, star… For us, MAVIN also represents what we believe can contribute to successes in a student’s life: M - Mastery of Core Academics Skills A - Achievement, inside and outside of school V - Vision for one’s college, career & life goals I - Inspirations for people around you N - Network a community of mentors and supporters Mavin Learning Resources was formed in response to the growing demand for supplemental education. In response to this demand, we have embarked on a mission to develop high-quality educational materials and programs that allow us to provide personalized educational solutions for students of all ages, and particularly to high school students who are preparing for higher education. What We Are Facilitators: we recognize individual interests, strengths and learning styles to facilitate knowledge and skill acquisition. Listeners: fully responsive after-school program that is designed and modified to meet students’ and parents’ needs. Helpers: we work closely with schools to design and implement an after school program that complements the existing curriculum. Mentors: we encourage and help learners young and old alike to look inside for the spark that will light the fire. Counselors: we are here to help you identify your goals and align your education with your life goals. Our core values are high-quality service and educational excellence; we deliver these through our customized college counseling and private one-on-one tutoring. Helping students along the critical path to success is our number one goal. We are committed to making that goal a reality for each and every student who we work with. Our MAVIN Learning Centers house college track program MAVIN College Prep and programs for younger kids’ individual learning needs.
