For more than five decades, the Mayer Group has leveraged a far-reaching vision and solid, value-oriented management to become one of the trailblazers in the Israeli automobile market. Established in 1967 by the late Mayer Kass , Mayer's Cars and Trucks Ltd. began as the exclusive importer of Volvo products to Israel. Beginning with cars, the company gradually added trucks, buses, engines and heavy mechanical machinery. Over the years the company has developed an advanced sales and customer service network with a logistics support system and a range of complementary services such as leasing, trade-in, insurance, funding, and more. Over the years, the company got import licence for other top brand names such as Honda (cars, motorbikes and Power Products), Volvo, Renault trucks, zhongtong Buses, Polestar, Lynk & Co, and Electric mobility brands. In addition to its vehicle imports, Mayer represents and owns other companies with similar or complementary interests. Together they now form the leading automotive group in Israel – Hertz Car Rental, Auto Center (second-hand cars), Kavim (public transport), Merkavim (bus chassis), Kogol Unitrade (Michelin tire importers), Mayer Ramot insurance services, and others.
