About Mayes Emergency Service Trust Authority
The Mayes Emergency Service Trust Authority is the ambulance provider for Mayes County, Oklahoma. MESTA was officially incorporated on January 21, 1986, by a group of citizens who wished to improve pre-hospital emergency healthcare for the citizens of Mayes County. Currently, the ambulance trust has eleven board members appointed by the Mayes County Commissioners and by the governing bodies of the towns of Mayes County. MESTA has an Executive Director who oversees the management of the ambulance service. Since 1986, the service has grown to over 50 employees who handle over 5,000 calls for service each year. MESTA runs five 24-hour trucks every day out of 5 stations, which are strategically located throughout the county. Full-time employees are offered two 24-hour shifts weekly. We offer full OPERS benefits, including fully paid insurance for the family and retirement benefits.
