As students and professionals in mental health and international higher education, we empower peer communities to take transformative actions, enhance culturally appropriate resources, break down barriers of help-seeking, and change mental health conversation for our very own group of international students, who are, who will be, and who have been on this journey. Our vision. We envision every international student will participate fully in their overseas experience, realize their purpose and potential, and their achieve optimal success and wellbeing. MAZE is a social innovation platform for empowering actions to promote mental health awareness for Chinese-speaking international students. Our pioneering Peer Counseling Program trains peers with study abroad experience to help their fellow international students, using cross-cultural counseling skills, and our student chapters across US and China higher education campuses promote mental health awareness and advocate for changes within the communities.
