Sensor-based remote management of utility network MAZZY ltd is an SME, which develops and offers to clients automated water meter reading system based on wireless sensor data. www.mazzy.eu The technical solution implies that data from water meters with impulse or protocol output are transmitted to concentrators using diapason 868 MHz and NB. Concentrators transfer data to the data center using LAN WiFi GPRS GSM connection. Concentrators operate with data server in the IP network. Data are stored and processed in MySQL database thus the clients are able to analyze the pattern of water consumption and the pressure data in water network in different dimensions: by meters, by location, by time. It is possible to analyze customer’s behavior, to find out wrecks of ducts, hidden leaks, and clients fraud. Using developed interface water utilities are able to attach water meters to a geographic map. The staff of utilities, as well as clients, is able to get SMS about water consumption in the case when consumption overruns previously installed thresholds. The solution has web-based applications. The technical solutions are developing 7 years and have been piloted in more than 20 Latvian and Estonian municipality’s water and heat distribution networks. MAZZY has got experience in the EU programs: FP7, ENPI Cross border cooperation, INTERREG, Eureka - Eurostars projects.
