Founded in Dallas, Texas in 1947, McFadden & Miller, Ltd. is one of the region’s oldest and most experienced general contractors. Established by John McFadden and Ed Miller shortly after WWII, our firm played a pivotal role in shaping commercial construction in North Texas. In 1949, we partnered with a young Trammell Crow to build his first speculative warehouse—sparking a decades-long collaboration that helped pioneer tilt-up concrete structures nationwide. In 1956, decorated Naval officer and engineer Martin “Jake” Jacobson joined the firm, further strengthening our leadership and innovation. Jake's two sons, Mark and Jon, have led this family-owned business since 1986. In January 2023, leadership passed to the third generation, with Mark's son, Ian Jacobson, as President. We continue our tradition of integrity, craftsmanship, and client-focused construction—building success since 1947.
