About McKee Cabinetree
McKee Cabinetree Ltd. (MCL) was established in 1982 by Rob McKee, a furniture designer who attended a small college in Vermont to learn and refine his furniture making skills. His natural artistic ability and woodworking skills proved to be a great combination, and upon seeing his hand-crafted designs, a family friend encouraged Rob to start a custom furniture business. He set up a small showroom in Port Carling and, as his designs and the demand for them continued to expand, so did the showroom, evolving into a full woodworking shop. No longer strictly furniture, McKee Cabinetree grew to offer complete woodworking services and custom cabinetry, helping clients realize the kitchens and bathrooms of their dreams. (And laundry rooms. And family rooms. The list goes on.) The business is now owned and operated by Rob's son, Ian McKee. Ian has an engineering degree and brings a fresh new approach to MCL, same quality custom crafted products. Everything we create is designed in our Port Carling shop and hand-built locally.
