McKone Strategies, LLC is a Phoenix based consulting firm serving clients in state, local and federal government affairs, political and campaign strategy, community outreach and development, business advisory services, security consulting, crisis communications, and public relations. _ For over the past decade, Tommy McKone has served at nearly every level of government and politics. Tommy began his career in Washington, D.C. working on Capitol Hill for several Republican Members of Congress and around the country running operations and communications on highly contested state, local and federal political campaigns. In addition, McKone formed and led government affairs and communications strategy at a leading global security consulting firm based out of Washington, D.C. At the firm, McKone represented some of the world’s largest companies, Native American Tribes and Foreign Governments before the Executive and Legislative Branches of the U.S. Federal Government. Most recently, McKone served as Director of Government and External Affairs for Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone for over 4 years. The Maricopa County Sheriffs Office (MCSO) is the largest county law enforcement agency in the State of Arizona and 4th largest in the United States. At MCSO, McKone served as Chief Advisor to the Sheriff on all state, local and federal legislative matters. In addition, Tommy served as the Sheriff's liaison with non-profits, business organizations, Chambers of Commerce, trade associations, local, state and national law enforcement and community organizations, municipal governments, the Arizona State Legislature, Arizona State Agencies, the Governor's Office as well as the federal government, relative federal agencies and the White House.
