About MCW Architects

MCW architects is a Cambridge based architectural practice, designing and delivering award-winning projects across the UK. Set up by Colin Moses, Murdoch Cameron and Peter Williams in 2011, we have a particularly strong reputation in higher education, a sector in which our experience stretches back over 25 years, where clients have returned to us time and time again for our innovative designs and long-term commitment to our clients' estates. Our projects span a variety of sectors from further education and headquarters to residential developments. We share an ambition to create uplifting places which are responsive and responsible to their context and community. We believe in adopting simple, best value strategies to achieve low energy, high performance, socially responsible design and our work has met exemplary low carbon and low energy targets. We believe that architecture is all about people. Our practice is built around the belief that making architecture should be a joyful and enriching creative experience. This begins with our own studio and extends to our clients and collaborators, resulting in an architecture that is inherently expressive of the people who commission, use and design it. Our current clients include University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University, University of Northampton, University of Nottingham, University of Hertfordshire, the University of Bedfordshire, Cardiff University, Colchester Institute, MAGPAS Air Ambulance, research clients, and a number of private developers.
