About MDS

MDS Ltd is an independent non-profit making organisation whose aim is to recruit and train the very best people for the fresh produce, food, horticulture and the arable industry. To do so we provide a range of career development programmes, seconding our Trainees to Member companies on 3-4 placements over 2 years. This is supplemented by a management training programme developed and delivered in conjunction with the Apprenticeship College. MDS Ltd is a consortium of over 60 member companies, including growers, suppliers, and supermarkets, representing the entire supply chain. While based in the UK, the operations extend to many countries around the world. MDS alumni are spread throughout the industry, occupying a wide range of roles as diverse as the industry itself. Many hold senior management positions, and some have even started their own businesses.
