About Meade Farm Group
For over 40 years Meade Potato Company has been growing, packing and distributing premium quality potatoes, fruit, vegetables and organic produce to retailers nationwide from our family farm in Lobinstown, Co Meath. Nestled in the fertile hills of the Boyne Valley, we specialise in growing potatoes and carrots but work with a team of growers locally, nationally and internationally to ensure that we can offer the full range of quality fresh produce to our customers. We have also recently built Ireland and the UK's only food grade potato starch extraction plant, offering sustainable, high-viscosity potato starchto foodservice and retail customers worldwide. A passion for fresh produce, an efficient supply chain and our commitment to the highest quality standards have helped us to expand and become one the largest growers, packers and distributors of fresh produce in Ireland. We currently employ approx 300 staff at our farm and food production facility. Our Prepared Foods division includes a potato range which is targeted at the catering and foodservice markets. Sustainability is in the company's DNA. Our Origin Green Sustainability Plan includes reduction of crop interventions on our farm, a wide range of energy saving measures in our production areas (i.e. a wind turbine), a water filtration system and an active educational programme for reducing food waste and promoting healthy eating. We have been recognised with a number of awards that have cited our commitment to sustainability, such as the Repak Pakman Award.
