About MealCare
MealCare is a non-profit organization striving to create a more sustainable food system. We rescue perfectly edible, surplus "food waste" and donate it to community organizations that help feed the food insecure members of our community. Food donors include campus dining halls, restaurants, and small grocery stores, while our food receiving organizations are homeless shelters and soup kitchens. We also understand that combating food waste and food insecurity must include education and awareness building, therefore we implement projects that aim to educate students and their communities on these topics.
