About Meals On Wheels (Sudbury)
Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) was established as a grassroots pilot project in 1971, with the intent to keep people independent in their homes by supplying daily hot nutritious meals. Today, we host over 400 clients and 70 volunteers. We currently deliver over 30,000 hot meals each year to the community of Greater Sudbury. Our services are available to individuals who are physically, chronically, or terminally ill, caregivers, convalescents, new parents, seniors, and persons with disabilities. Our meals are delivered with the assistance of our dedicated Volunteer Delivery Drivers to all areas of the community including but not limited to: Azilda, Capreol, Chelmsford, Dowling, Garson, Hanmer, Levack, Val Caron, Val Therese, and Walden.
