About MEB Foods
Our Australian family owned business has been baking delicious breads since 1969. We use supreme quality ingredients, and only what's necessary to create the healthiest bread for you. Our mission remains unchanged: THE BEST INGREDIENTS. THE BEST PRODUCTS. THE HAPPIEST CUSTOMERS. Starting with a basic range of products and a keen attention to quality, M.E.B. Foods’ popularity grew steadily. By 1976, the small bake house had grown into a genuine family business. The real turning point for the business was in 1980. The bakery realised that the Coburg premise was getting too small for increasing product demand. M.E.B. then moved to a new location in Brunswick occupying two factories fitted out with the latest machinery allowing for an increase in production. M.E.B’s breakthrough came after running a successful supermarket promotion then gaining contracts with Woolworths/Safeway, Coles, Jewell, Bi-Lo, Franklins, IGA and a range of other independents. Needing to then further expand the business, in January 2005 a huge 11,000m2. site was purchased in Campbellfield, Victoria which is now home to a state of art factory that caters for the Australian demand. M.E.B. Foods has come from very humble beginnings with solid family traditions to be a major player in the bread industry. Today, with sales Australia wide and overseas, the tradition and family spirits of M.E.B Foods along with our product range continues to shine through.
