About MechaTech Systems
MechaTech Systems are an award-winning UK SME with a combined experience of over 60 years specialising in the Design, Manufacture, Installation and Commissioning of LyoDry Freeze Dryers and High Vacuum Systems. Mechatech Systems evolved from Severn Science Ltd and the senior management team are former Severn Science employees. When Severn Science ceased trading in 2007, key staff formed MechaTech Systems, having purchased the IP rights for all of the vacuum engineering from Severn Science, including freeze dryers, high vacuum systems, Hyscan II gas analysers and S35 Gas Sampling Systems. Today, MechaTech Systems' portfolio includes vacuum dryers and freeze dryers (laboratory, pilot and production scale), vacuum degassing systems and continuous vacuum systems, S35 Gas Sampling Systems (Total Oxidation Units) and Hyscan II Hydrogen in Aluminium Analyser. MechaTech Systems also supply and service vacuum pumps and associated equipment (vacuum pump oil, Pirani gauges, NW KF/ISO vacuum fittings, etc). The company's client base includes a large number of blue chip and government organisations both in the UK and overseas. The company is certified to ISO9001:2015, registered and audited by Achilles UVDB and F-Gas certified. In 2014, MechaTech Systems designed, in collaboration with Magnox, and manufactured an innovative award-winning Vacuum Drying System for nuclear waste. The company was also Highly Commended by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority for providing an innovative solution. The Advanced Vacuum Drying System is now actively drying waste across the UK nuclear decommissioning fleet. In 2018, MechaTech Systems celebrated ten successful years in business.
