I believe that with the modern state of technology and advancements in AI, we can create a service that will improve lives for many people with diabetes including myself. The most common aspects of everyday life for someone with diabetes are: - Blood glucose monitoring: Regularly checking blood glucose levels using a glucometer or continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. - Insulin administration: Type 1 diabetics require insulin injections or use an insulin pump to deliver insulin throughout the day. - Carbohydrate counting and meal planning: Since carbohydrates directly affect blood sugar levels, individuals with Type 1 diabetes often need to count the number of carbohydrates and plan their meals in advance. Type I Diabetes has been known and researched for a long time. The exact body conditions and the amount of insulin injections vary from person to person, but the main formula stays the same. The differences are mostly in the coefficients, which for many of us have to be found through trial and error and manual calculations. My team and I are determined to change that. Using data science and innovative software engineering, with the guidance of medical professionals, we want to create a service that will help people with diabetes manage their conditions. The base features will include advanced body monitoring with automatically generated reports and a system for suggesting insulin dosages and meal planning.
