About Media Industry Technologist Certification
MITC has been created by leaders within the Australian media industry to address and resolve skilling challenges within the industry. Over a period of 25 years, a series of disruptive business and technology changes have led to a situation where no technology training is available, no benchmarks exist to drive learning culture, and no way to easily assess a practitioner's capability in terms of industry expectations. The MITC project will start the reversal of these impacts and ultimately lead to a healthier industry. MITC is being made available across domains of Film, TV technology,TV OB and Operations technology, Radio, New Media and Transmission. It applies to technologists from Associate to Master level. MITC provides design, operation, and maintenance of assessment and certification scheme for media technologists. The certification currently maps over domains of Radio, TV, Film, New Media, Transmission and OB/Operations. It applies to participants at all levels, descriptively as Associate Practitioner, Practitioner, Senior Practitioner and Master Practitioner.
